Frank M. Child

It is with sadness that we share the passing of 柚子视频Society Emeritus Member and former Trustee Frank M. Child who died January 18, 2020 at the age of 88. The 柚子视频flag is currently inoperable due to high wind conditions, but will be lowered in Dr. Child鈥檚 honor at a later date.
Dr. Child was an alumnus of the 柚子视频Embryology course (1952), Physiology course (1953), and X-Invertebrate Zoology course (1954) and later conducted summer research at the laboratory. Dr. Child was a library reader throughout the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s and served as a 柚子视频Trustee in 1975. He met Julie, his wife of 59 years, at the 柚子视频in 1958.
Dr. Child had a long career teaching biology at the University of Chicago and Trinity College in Hartford, CT prior to his retirement.
A celebration of life will be held on February 15, 2020 in the Meigs Room, 柚子视频Swope Center from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Marine Biological Laboratory, 7 柚子视频Street, Woods Hole, MA 02543.
